FIND OUT WHAT’S HAPPENING

Album: Raised On Rock

Find Out What’s Happening is a song written by Jerry Crutchfield and recorded by Bobby Bare for his 1968 album English Country Side. The song peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. However, the original recording was done by the Spidells in 1964.

In 1970, a cover version by Barbara Fairchild, recorded for her album Someone Special, reached number 52 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart that year. Elvis recorded the song in the summer of 1973 at Stax Studios in Memphis for his album Raised On Rock. Below is the rough mix recording of ‘Find Out What’s Happening’ along with the Spidell’s original version.
